Alternative to Figma, Sketch, and Adobe XD: comparing Lunacy to TOP-3 graphic editors

Figma, Adobe XD, and Sketch are the TOP-3 brands in the UX/UI design world. But how to select the tool to fit your needs and budget? Are there any alternatives?

Figma’s homepage says that their product is way better than the other tools. The guys from Adobe claim that Figma sucks in a number of ways. Other competitors joined the game and draw fancy we-vs-others tables manipulating facts to sell their editor to users. That’s totally understandable. That’s how it works. We also do such things, but not this time.

This time we made a fair, unbiased comparison of Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, and, of course, Lunacy that shows the pros and cons of the graphic editors.

How we did it:

  • We took three independent comparisons of Figma, Sketch, and XD to each other.
  • Then we arranged all the data from these comparisons into a table.
  • Then we added a column for Lunacy and put + or — next to the features that Lunacy has or doesn’t have.

The resulting table is below.

We’d like to thank Michael Wong (aka Mizko), Kezz Bracey, and Coursera, whose findings we used.

Note: We’re trying to keep the data in the table up-to-date. But the products are evolving fast. If you find any inaccuracies, feel free to drop us a line at lunacy@icons8.com. We’ll fix them.
